Caporotondo - Marulli
Negroamaro – Copertino
Negroamaro 100% | 13% vol | 75 cl
The ultimate expression of Negroamaro and its bond with the Salento land.
This wine is part of the identity trilogy along with Tenuta Paraida and Capuccini: three labels that celebrate the deepest soul of their respective production areas. A tribute to the Copertino territory and our "salentinità" (Salento identity), enclosed in every glass.
Production Area
Countryside of Copertino, in the heart of the province of Lecce.
Vineyards and Vinification
Produced from pure Negroamaro grapes, cultivated with a cordone speronato (spurred cordon) system. After crushing, the must is left to macerate with the skins for 6-8 days at controlled temperature (26–28 °C), to extract all the aromatic richness of the grape variety.
Aging
Maturation in stainless steel tanks, to best preserve freshness, intensity, and varietal typicality.
Tasting Notes
Visually, it presents a brilliant ruby red color. The aroma is intense and refined, with clear notes of red berries – cherry, currant, and plum – and an elegant complexity that reveals the authentic character of the grape variety. On the palate, it is soft, dry, and structured, with good body and pleasant balance.
Food Pairings
Perfect with typical Mediterranean dishes, grilled meats, flavorful pasta dishes, cured meats, and semi-aged cheeses.
