Grape variety identity
The Nero di Troia, a historical and indigenous variety of Daunia (northern Puglia), is known for its tannic richness and structure. Today, it is undergoing a qualitative rediscovery that highlights its elegance and longevity. Its ancient origins, according to legend, date back to the Homeric hero Diomedes, but a provenance from the Albanian coast, from the village of Cruja (Troia in local dialect), is also hypothesized.
